An Elephant or A Crab? You Decide...

On our recent trip to Valencia, we found this Picasso print hanging in our room. As I was unpacking and putting some things away, I heard our two boys aguring. "It's an elephant." "No it's not, it's a crab." Back and forth they went. I had an inkling they were arguing about the print. So I asked them, "What are you two arguing about?" Twelve said, "This picture. Who's right? Is it an elephant or a crab?" I said, "Neither...it's a naked lady." They gasped, "What? No it's not!" Frankly, with all the art museums we've dragged them to, I can't believe they couldn't see it. Maybe it's a good thing...still innocent? At any rate, it reminded me of a picture they used when I was in school, where depending on your perspective, you saw an old lady or a can-can dancer. Remember that one, yes...no? Anyway, after studying the Picasso for a couple of seconds, both boys argeed on one thing...They thought the Picasso was weird and they decided he didn't do a very good job depicting the lady because he was showing the the back of her and the front of her at the same time, and that wasn't possible in real life. Wonder what they'll think when we take them to the Picasso museum in Barcelona? I'll let you know...Hasta luego...
